Belmont Textile Machinery Company

Belmont Textile Machinery Company

Belmont Textile Machinery Company was founded in 1955 and remains a family owned and operated business. From its modern plant in Mount Holly, North Carolina, USA, the company designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services its equipment for textile mills throughout the world.

Dedication and service to its customers have enabled Belmont to develop new solutions and products suited to the needs of the industry.

In addition to the model AD-30 and AD-35 Auto-Doff Take-Up Winders, Belmont manufactures:

? Model AD-25 Auto-Doff Take-Up Winders for use with Suessen continuous heat setting systems, and other processes requiring multi level winding and automatic doffing of up to 6 yarn ends
? Model AD-40 Auto-Doff Air Entanglement Machines
? Model AC-50 Mast-Type Accumulators
? MDS Continuous Yarn Dyeing Systems

Belmont Models AD-3D and AD-35 Auto-Doff Take-up Winders are used in conjunction with Belmont MDS continuous yarn dyeing systems, Superba and Opti-set continuous heat setting systems, Chemset wool processing systems, and other continuous yarn processing systems.

Peak performers on carpet and other heavy duty yarns, Belmont winders are known for their simplicity of design, safety of operations, dependability and ease of maintenance.

A three-level design saves on floor space. The auto-doff system offers increased productivity, plus economies in labour and support costs. Yarn quality is improved by reducing stoppage time required for doffing.

Belmont Cam Packs control all doffing motions.

The Model AD-3D, with up to 24 spindles, utilizes one Cam Pack; model AD-35, with over 24 spindles, operates with three CamPacks.
All doffing motions on the Model AD-3D and AD-35 are transmitted to individual spindles through the use of rotating shafts. Both finished packages and empty tubes are under constant positive control of the doffing mechanism. Slack ends are eliminated during start-up due to the close proximity of the winding position to the doffing/donning mechanism.

Finished packages may be removed from the integrated package conveyors at the end of the machine.

Belmont EW1000 Winder

Belmont EW1000

If you want to wind up with a more productive textile process, start with a more productive winder.

Winding requirements in the carpet industry have changed and continue to change. At Belmont Textile Machinery Company, we've been helping customers remain one step ahead of the curve for over 45 years. Now we're at it again. Introducing the new EW-IOOO take-up winder. Not only can it jumpstart your production efficiency, it'll do wonders for your bottom line.

With the EW-IOOO winder, we've raised the bar set by our AD series winders. We've lowered the working and delivery heights, making it quicker and easier to load and doff. And we're introducŽing a new traverse cam and dog assembly that will increase maximum winding speed to 1100 meters per minute. And with its new overfeed system, you never have to worry about tension control, no matter what the speed or fiber type.

Now every line is easy to reach ... especially the bottom one.

The EW-I000 features a modular design that is expandable up to 72 spindles in 12 spindle increments. At the same time, it is surprisingly compact, having the framework measurement just 44 inches (1118 mm) wide.

The real advantage of the EW-I000 is how easy and convenient it is to operate. The reach height for loading upper level tube or cone magazines measures a comfortable 66 inches (1676 mm). Delivery height of the upper conveyor is just 56 inches (1422 mm); especially significant given that the EW-I000 can build packages as large as 16 inches (406 mm) in diameter. With everything in easy reach, loading and doffing is faster, monitoring is easier and worker fatigue is miniŽmised.

The EW-I000 features robust, standardized metric components and it is fully CE compliŽant. All service areas are easily accessible and the EWŽ1000 requires less frequent maintenance, lower parts cost, reduced inventory requirements and minimal downtime.

All Belmont winders will soon feature an optional fully-automated package knotting and placement system. This system will automatically remove the package from the conveyor and secure the yarn end with a slip-knot. This option eliminates manual tying without damaging the remaining yarn on the package. After knotting, the package will be labeled automatically and placed on a conveyor system for packing.

? Lower working and delivery height, plus single-sided operaŽtion makes the EW-I000 the most ergonomically productive winder on the market.
? Advanced geometry of the doffing mechanism allows for positive placement of the finished package on the conveyor, eliminating difficulties in doffing small or sample packages.
? Advanced traverse cam and dog assembly will increase your maximum winding speed to 1100 meters/minute.
? New overfeeding system provides infinite adjustment of tension at any speed with all fiber types.
? Touch screen control panel regulates winding speeds, displays production efficiency and monitors winder operating parameters.

Rototwist

Rototwist

At 600 meters per minute the line between the possible and the impossible is a blur. Today's yarn twister. It runs at 40 meters per minute, takes four passes to produce a 6-ply yarn, and is hampered by an occasional inefficiency in doffing and ends-down. And that's just fine until now.

Introducing Roto-Twist from Belmont Textile Machinery Company. From here on out, you'll think twice about what your twisting equipment should be able to do. It twists as many as six plies in one step, at speeds up to 600 meters per minute, with virtually zero downtime.

Roto-Twist from Belmont Textile Machinery Company is the perfect combination of speed and control. Now, you can get all the strength, quality and styling potential of conventionally- twisted yarns at fifteen times the speed, with vastly reduced processing costs.

Benefits:

  • Produces 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6-ply yarns in one pass.
  • Designed for continuous operation at 600 meters per minute.
  • Greater texture, color clarity and styling potential at a fraction of the cost.
  • Easily monitored and controlled via an interactive touch screen.
  • Yarn accumulator allowing for continuous operation during the doffing process, and for product inspection prior to winding.
